Pain treatment & Procedures

Cancer Pain

Living with cancer can be challenging, and managing the pain that often accompanies it is an integral part of the overall treatment. At the Spine and Pain Clinic of Texas, we offer specialized services focused on managing cancer-related pain. Through a personalized approach, we work to enhance your comfort and improve your quality of life. Our services include Neurolytic Celiac Plexus Block, Neurolytic Ganglion Impar, and Neurolytic Superior Hypogastric Plexus Block, each of which targets specific pain points associated with cancer.

Neurolytic Celiac Plexus Block

The Neurolytic Celiac Plexus Block is a procedure specifically designed to manage abdominal pain commonly associated with cancers of the stomach, pancreas, or liver. By injecting medication to block the celiac plexus – a network of nerves in the abdomen – we can significantly reduce pain and discomfort. This procedure can help manage persistent pain, decrease reliance on pain medication, and ultimately improve your quality of life.

Neurolytic Ganglion Impar

Neurolytic Ganglion Impar is a minimally invasive procedure targeted at alleviating chronic pelvic and perineal pain, often related to cancer. The ganglion impar is a cluster of nerves located at the level of the coccyx. During this procedure, a blocking agent is administered to numb these nerves, thereby reducing or eliminating pain. This procedure aims to provide long-term relief, enhancing comfort, and improving your overall well-being.

Neurolytic Superior Hypogastric Plexus Block

The Neurolytic Superior Hypogastric Plexus Block is a procedure used to manage pain in the pelvic region, typically associated with cancers of the prostate, bladder, uterus, ovaries, or rectum. This involves blocking the superior hypogastric plexus, a group of nerves that transmit pain signals from the pelvic region. By blocking these signals, we can provide substantial pain relief, allowing you to focus on healing and recovery.

I have had back pain and radiating pain down my right leg and lumbar spine for years. I was seeing a Dr (no name)that had me coming in every two-three weeks because what he was doing and made sure it didn’t last! I then found Dr Arif and he and his staff are so sweet and kind. He talks to u while doing procedures like epidurals and trigger points. His epidurals last 2-3 months there have been things I haven’t been able to do for sometime and thanks to Dr Arif I can now do things! I recommend that if you truly need a great Dr then go see Dr Arif he is amazing and the staff is kind and sweet

Dr. Arif and the staff were very welcoming and down to earth. I had 2 lower lumbar injections and the team did a great job at pin pointing the best locations for pain relief. I went from constant pain and being limited to a few minutes of standing to very minimal pain and normal activities. This has been a blessing and I highly recommend Jameson Pain Clinic.
